PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT

About the job

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Assistant to join our team focusing on construction and interior fit-out projects. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the procurement manager in the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services needed for our construction developments. Your expertise will ensure that all procurement activities align with our quality standards and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Hand on Experience in Sourcing, Cost Analysis, Cost Negotiation, Contracts Negotiation, Procurement Strategies Plan and executions, Vendor Management, and Selection.
• Review of project contract, drawings, specification and BOQ to identify the materials, equipment and system for procurement; check for availability of required details for procurement and co-ordinate with concerns to obtain the same, if not available.
• Co-ordinate with design team for incorporation of Equipment/Material details in shop drawings & with project, QA QC for preparation of method statement.
• Co-ordinate with manufacturer and supplier to get the material complied with the specification or propose latest material with new technology and conclude the deal with LOI, LPO and subcontract agreement, based on best negotiated commercial terms and conditions
• Obtain material catalogues, data sheet, selection sheet, MSD, sample, etc., and prepare material submittal samples for Consultant’s approval
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites. Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize waste and delays.
• Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and new products to enhance procurement practices and decision-making.
• Assist procurement manager in preparing monthly project budget reports and regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of proven experience as a Procurement officer or in a similar role within the construction or interior fit-out sectors.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth understanding of construction procurement processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English & Hindi.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite and ERP system.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Environment

• May work in residential & commercial projects.
